If you are an Adsense publisher you probably already know what it feels like to do a lot of hard work focusing on a topic you are passionate about, only to find out later that you are pulling in low value clicks. You login to your account hoping to see those fabled $1+ clicks and instead find one for a measly few cents. Do this sound familiar? You need to do keyword research or use a service that has already done the hard work for you. What you want to look for is niches that are high paying with a good selection of high paying adsense keywords you can write content around for your website. You also need to ensure those keywords have low competition and have search volume or you will have problems ranking competitively in the search engines for these terms. If you don't rank competitively in the search engines you just won't make any money.
Go For The Low Hanging Fruit
Don't try and fight it out with the competition when you are going for those high paying adsense keywords, choose the long tail keywords that still have high advertiser interest. This way you are stacking the odds highly in your favor for the easy traffic from the search engines. The beauty of this strategy is that because you are going for the high paying adsense keywords you don't need a ton of traffic to make a nice income from your website.
